About the Author:
I like to lay down broad strokes with my writing, drawing a picture but leaving much of the detail to each reader's imagination. I hope that Hannah and the Gods are able to come alive in each reader's mind. I try to stay very close to the story with regard to the words, but hope that they create large enough characters and worlds to support the fantastic source mythology. My aim in writing is to tell a story as fully as possible but using only the most necessary, truest words. I believe form is a term with too much weight and that writing should take whatever form that emerges from staying close to the bone of the story. Lastly, I hope that Hannah and the Gods of Olympus takes readers on a wild, energized ride and that the characters resonate and bring readers back for the next chapter.Inspiration:
Mythology has always captured my imagination and I like to imagine the tales of all those legends as a kind of record of their history. As I got older and found our own world history to be, at times, inaccurate or gray in areas I enjoyed imagining that the history of the Gods and Goddesses, mythology, could too be flawed.Hannah and the God of Olympus:
The book is about a young girl named Hannah Molloy and her sudden thrust into a world she thought not real. It is also about Persephone, suddenly thrust as well, into a world unknown to her. It's about trust, hope, courage, fear and all that occurs when power is a stake.Today, Charles Eagen Lord is the lead literary and screenplay writer of Maiden Comics Studios (www.MaidenNetwork.com) which will see its first book published in the recently released Hannah and the Gods of Olympus.
